The tap set with compensator tap is a comprehensive solution for tapping beer or other carbonated beverages, enabling precise control of the beer flow and functioning without active cooling. This kit consists of high-quality components that together ensure easy handling and perfect beverage quality.
Components of the tap set
1. Stainless steel round tube
-
The stainless steel round pipe is the vertical pipe that supports the compensator tap. It is made of high-quality stainless steel, which not only ensures an attractive appearance but also guarantees a long service life and corrosion resistance. The stainless steel construction makes the column particularly resistant to the usual demands of the catering industry and ensures easy cleaning and maintenance.
-
Height and diameter: The height of the column is usually around 40 cm, with a diameter of around 8 cm. These compact dimensions make it suitable for smaller bars as well as for private use.
2. Compensator tap
- The compensator tap is the heart of the tap set. This special tap allows the beer or beverage to be tapped at the right speed and without unwanted foam. The compensator acts as a pressure regulator, keeping the flow rate constant, which is particularly important for top-fermented beers or beverages with higher foam formation.
-
How it works: The tap regulates the pressure in the keg and helps to minimize pressure drops so that the beverage is dispensed evenly and in the desired quantity. This ensures consistent quality of the dispensed beverage.
3. CO2 cylinder
- The CO2 cylinder is an essential component of the tap set. It contains CO2 gas, which is used to carbonate the beverage and maintain the required pressure in the keg. CO2 ensures that beer and other beverages stay fresh and have a pleasant fizz.
-
Capacity and quality: The CO2 cylinder comes in different sizes (often 500 g or 2 kg) and is certified according to ADR/SV 653 regulations for the safe transport of hazardous goods. The cylinder is TÜV-tested and therefore guarantees high safety standards.
4. Pressure reducer
- The pressure regulator plays a crucial role in the dispensing system. It regulates the pressure of the CO2 gas and ensures that it is kept at the correct level at all times. The pressure regulator ensures that the beverage flows steadily from the keg and that the tap control works efficiently.
-
Level indicator: Most pressure regulators are equipped with a level indicator that allows the user to monitor the CO2 level. This allows the user to ensure that there is always enough CO2 available to dispense the beverage correctly.
5. Hoses
- The hoses connect the keg to the tap set and carry the beer or beverage to the compensating tap. These hoses are made of food-safe material, which ensures that the beverage is not contaminated by harmful substances or residues.
-
Length and diameter: The hoses are usually about 1 meter long and have a diameter of 7 mm to transport an optimal amount of liquid and allow for easy handling.
6. Keg closure
- The keg closure is a special closure system that ensures that the keg cannot be opened accidentally and that the beer or beverage is not exposed to air. The keg closure prevents air from entering the keg when tapping, which helps to prevent the loss of carbon dioxide and a change in the taste of the beverage.
-
Types of keg closures: There are different types of keg closures, depending on individual requirements and the type of keg. These closures ensure a secure, leak-free connection between the keg and the tap.
Summary of functions
- The tap set ensures the perfect pouring experience thanks to its precise pressure regulation and optimal control of the beer flow.
- The compensating tap prevents excess foam, which is particularly advantageous for carbonated beverages and wheat beers.
-
The CO2 cylinder and pressure regulator work together to ensure the correct pressure on the beverage, resulting in consistent beer quality.
- The food-safe hoses ensure that the beverage is transferred safely and hygienically from the keg to the glass.
Conclusion
The dispensing set with compensator tap is a high-quality and efficient solution for dispensing beer or other carbonated beverages. It is easy to use, guarantees a long service life thanks to the combination of stainless steel, pressure reducer and compensator tap, and ensures that every glass is served fresh and without foam. The set only requires a keg of beer and offers an uncomplicated way to tap delicious drinks professionally and efficiently.
