This seal forms a vital barrier for pressure control and hygiene in the system.
2. Compatibility and variants
There are two variants of the main seal, depending on the type of KEG used. Make sure you choose the right variant for your KEG system:

Variant 1: Main seal for KEG type A (flat) or M (combination)
This main seal is designed for flat kegs and combination kegs. These types are the most common and are frequently found in restaurants and small breweries.

Option 2: Main gasket for KEG type S (basket) or D (Köpi)
This variant is intended for basket kegs and Köpi kegs. These kegs are often found in larger breweries or industrial applications where a more robust seal is required.
3. Design and function
The main seal consists of a flexible sealing material, ideally rubber-like or silicone-based, to ensure a perfect seal. It is attached to the bottom of the KEG cap and serves to perfectly seal the connection between the cap and the keg so that no liquid or gas escapes during tapping.

It is recommended to lubricate the main seal regularly with bar tap grease. This special grease helps to keep the seal supple and reduce friction, thereby extending its service life.

- If the seal is damaged or no longer seals properly, it must be replaced immediately to ensure the system works correctly.

6. Application and installation
