Beer hose nozzle – straight or curved, with collar and base
The beer hose nozzle – available in straight or curved versions – is a central connecting element in beverage and dispensing systems. It is used to connect flexible beer or CO₂ hoses securely and tightly to threaded connections, fittings, or valves. The version with collar and neck not only ensures that the hose sits securely, but also prevents it from slipping off under pressure or when subjected to tensile stress.
These grommets are available in various sizes and are optimized for professional use in beverage lines – especially for beer dispensing systems, CO₂ lines, and cleaning installations in restaurants and breweries.
Design and version
The hose grommets are available in two versions:
-
Straight nozzle: Used where a direct, linear hose route is required – ideal for narrow, structured installations.
-
Angled hose nozzles: Suitable for confined installation conditions or where a change of direction is required – e.g. for tank connections or under counters.
All versions feature:
Materials
-
Nickel-plated brass:
Most of the grommets are made of nickel-plated brass – a durable, robust and food-safe material. The nickel plating reliably protects the brass from corrosion, especially when in contact with moisture, CO₂ and cleaning agents.
-
Stainless steel (only for 4 mm grommets):
The particularly small 4 mm nozzle is made of stainless steel to ensure maximum strength with a minimum cross-section. Stainless steel is also highly resistant to aggressive media and is ideal for CO₂ or special lines.
Dimensions and application notes
The size specifications for the grommets always refer to the inner diameter of the hose used. This is particularly important for a secure and tension-free connection:
Grommet size |
Suitable hose (inner diameter) |
Typical hose outer diameters |
4 mm |
For very thin CO₂ hoses |
8 |
6.7 |
For special connecting lines |
9.5 |
7 mm |
Standard size for CO₂ and beer lines |
12 |
10 |
For larger volume flows |
15/16 |
Important: The grommets must always be selected to match the inner diameter of the hose – e.g., a 7 mm grommet is only intended for hoses with an inner diameter of 7 mm. A fitting that is too tight or too loose can lead to leaks, material damage, or unsafe connections.
Areas of application
